How to use your Blessington watch

This guide explains how to use your watch correctly and how to protect its water resistance. Please read this before setting the time or taking your watch near water.

Waterproofing Information

The crown is the small knob on the side of the watch.

Your crown must always be screwed down tightly against the case when you are finished adjusting your watch.

If the crown is left open or not screwed down properly water can enter the watch and flood the internal movement.

Please always check your crown is fully closed before any contact with water.

Push the crown all the way back toward the case.

While gently pressing inward turn the crown clockwise.

Keep turning until the crown stops and feels tight against the case.

Your watch is only sealed once the crown is fully screwed down.
If you are going near water / moisture always check the crown is fully screwed down first.

Very important water warning

If the crown is not screwed down tightly water can enter the watch.

If water enters the watch it can damage or flood the internal movement.

This is one of the most common mistakes customers make.

How to open the crown

Hold the crown between your fingers.

Turn it anti clockwise.

Keep turning until it pops loose and springs slightly outward.

Once it pops out the crown is unscrewed and ready to use.
TIME SET

How to set the time

Unscrew the crown.
2
Pull the crown gently to the second click.
3
Turn the crown until the correct time is shown.

Push the crown fully back in when finished.
DATE CHANGE

How to change the date

Unscrew the crown by turning it anti clockwise.
2
Pull the crown gently to the first click.
3
Turn the crown until the correct date appears.
4
Push & screw the crown back in when finished.
Final reminder

Final reminder

After changing the time or date always screw the crown back down tightly.

If the crown is not fully closed water can get into the watch.

Push in. Screw down. Check it is tight.
